Up for sale is a perfect condition front and rear OEM 996GT2/3 OEM Clubsport Roll Cage. This is a unicorn of a cage as Porsche discontinued this item a number of years ago. These came on all the 996GT2/3 European cars with the Clubsport option. The rear section was installed at the factory and the front section came with the car uninstalled. The rear cage section for sale here is the latest generation version which was also available on the 997GT3 and has the shoulder harnesses mounted on the aft section of the cage instead of the main hoop as on the earlier version. This change was done for safety reasons in order to provide more shoulder harness stretch and reduce the G loading imported on the upper torso In the event of a crash. The rear section bolts to the strut towers and to the floor plates in the tub floor. The rear section has the optional door bar tabs in place. The front section bolts to the plates in the tub floor. No modifications to the dash are necessary.
I had the rear section installed in my car but never installed the front section. Included are the pictures of the rear section installed in my car. The cage has been removed and is ready to ship. It is finished in satin black and in perfect condition. The I.D. tags are still in place.
