Love the color but what makes it a "unicorn"?

Might have to hold it for another thirty years to obtain certified "Unicorn" status. GLWS, but for same money most GT4 shoppers will buy the current generation.

I don’t like classified ads where the seller tries to make a car what it’s not, but I don’t understand the concerns or “challenges” to this one. Someone who keeps a car like this among the others in the pictures would (or should) know about older gas and I challenge anyone to find a car with this low mileage. I’ve seen other ads for certain Carreras or a Carrera S where the seller called his car a “unicorn” for one dumb reason or another. I’m quite confident the seller knows that he doesn’t have the onky GT4 with PCCBs, but one with 10 miles is certainly rare.

The 981 GT4 was not a limited production car. Production differences between the two will have not impact on values. This is a bit of a unicorn, but it’s never good for a car to sit for 5-6 years. Seller should have it fully serviced, gas changed, new tires, etc. if they want top dollar for it.

I would be curious to know how it was stored, why it was stored, and why now is the right time to try and move the car. It hasn't obtained unicorn status, and won't, for a very long time. Beautiful car though.

Limited production in Porsche parlance is a small, numbered run. The difference in production numbers between 981 and 718 has no impact on their relative market values. The 981 GT4 is not a rare car. This is a rare car simply due to the fact that is a delivery mile car. Some people will pay a premium for that.

I liken it to watches - a 116520 isn't a rare watch, but if someone had a "new old stock" model with the stickers still on it, it'll command an even-larger premium.
