Description:

Hello,
I have a used set of Function-First engine mount upgrade (v2) for sale. These were on my 2008 base Carrera. I ran them for approximately 1000 miles before changing out to Rein mounts.

Why the change? I spend a lot of time cruising local backroads between 3000-3500 rpm. This is where a vibration sound is caused by the semi-solid engine mounts. There is no harshness or actual vibration, just sound. Some actually like this sound. I spend a lot of time driving with my wife and child and prefer the 911 to be as civil as possible.

The pros: These lock the engine down. Better shifting and weight transfer. Under 3k rpm and over 4k rpm, feel/sound like stock. Easy install and fit a variety of generations.

Depending on your drive style, these are the perfect "semi-semi solid" engine mount upgrades. They have plenty of life left in them and broke in more and more. I paid over $300 so will offer them up for what a set of Rein mounts will cost you, $230.

I wanted to get quick pics of them for the sale so they are a little messy on the threads. My OEM set ripped/leaked on the threads and I reused the lower bolts so the fluid got on the new mounts. They truly are good as new and I'll clean them up and add picks when I have time. I'll ship these out in the Rein boxes that replaced these.

I can only confirm fitment on 996 and 997 but Function-First sells the same mounts for all 911 models 1989 to 2008. The 996 Rein mounts fit and work perfect on my 997. The only difference that I can tell is the lower thread is a few mm longer on the 997 ones as well as being flat on the bottom versus ridged. I'm sure Porsche updated the internals over time, but I can tell you the new Rein mounts are way better than the torn old ones. I decided to try 996 Rein mounts after noting that this is what FF sells. I'm sure the 997 mounts are a different revision and might be better? I have an M96 motor so didn't think the extra money and time to get Rein/Corteco 997 mounts was worth it since they seem to be scarce compared to 996. Hope that clarifies the listing and feel free to PM me for anything.
