Covering an interior in alcantara is akin to wearing a velvet jumpsuit, if that's socially acceptable

The option is code 78 "Black Full leather". In a GT3, that results in the lower parts of the dash, including glove box, being covered in Alcantara. This is also the case with the "Natural leather dark gray" option which was much rarer.

They switched to the Alcantara lower dash if full leather was selected starting with the 997.2 and onwards. 997.1 and older has a leather lower dash with full leather.

Great looking car. Market will always dictate price - this was RS money not so long ago. Interesting to me that in the frenzy the usual due diligence questions not asked - DME, maintenance records, tire age, car fax, paint metered panels, welded/pinned coolant pipes etc.

yeah, exactly...I mean, lenders have very loose standards nowadays and if you can't qualify for credit, that's usually a very good sign that you have bigger things to worry about than buying a $100k car. But I'm not here to preach financial prudence, it's more about wasting someone's time and potentially turning away other buyers when the seller says 'sale pending'.

I am in $100k. I got my 997.2 GT3 for $85 with 10,000 miles. I put another $25 into her before a chauffeur took me out at 11am on a Sunday.
Anyways I would chip her, remove the stereo, the seats, the exhaust and enjoy the beast once again at Sebring.
cash in hand

In this market that doesn't even seem close...though I wish it were.

We are seeing panic buying because some people actually believe the rhetoric that "this time is different". This time is not different and prices will come back in line in the future.

Ya it’s a panic market mostly because of the EV craze… is the 992 it? Will the next one be hybrid? That’s the rumor and it’s driving up prices… I didn’t pay 100k for mine, but I bought 5yrs ago, so it turns out to be the best car and a great investment… will they dive? Not for a while… I just saw an 06 well sorted Cayman S w/22k miles for 36000.00. That’s what a 997.1 was going for 1-2yrs ago… another car that will never be an ICE motor again… next models will be EV…. Panic mode and people are paying
