A bit more about the America Roadster models:1992 Porsche 911 America Roadster, which is one of only 250 examples produced specifically for the US market from 1992 to 1993. So, what's so special about the America Roadster? Quite a bit, actually.

Aside from being one of the rarest 911 models produced, the America Roadster is the only 964-generation Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet to look like a Turbo. Mechanically, it is more similar to a standard Carrera, but it gets the widebody kit from the Turbo as well as an electric spoiler and turbo guards.The air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine produces 247 horsepower at 6,100 rpm with 228 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm, all going out to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. This engine offers identical performance as a Carrera, but the America Roadster gets a slight handling edge via its upgrades disc brakes and suspension from the 964-generation Turbo model. To fill out those wider arches, the America Roadster also wears special Cup five-spoke wheels. Even with the added weight of the convertible top, the America Roadster is relatively quick. 0-60 mph takes 5.6 seconds, the quarter-mile takes 13.7 seconds, and the top speed is 162 mph.
