Interested in option D for a 2015 C2 Cab Base with Manual Transmission. Do you know if the airbag from the standard 2015 steering wheel is compatible with option D?

You will definitely need a new style airbag. Also you will have to get MF option turned on by a dealer, as PIWIS is required to make ECU changes in 991 generation cars

The airbag from a 2015 car will not fit any of my steering wheels. Newer style is required, see the main post for compatible model numbers.

So even with the GPS module (or X Adapter) I'll need dealer coding to "turn on" multifunction capability?

And to be clear, I'll need this style airbag for any 991.2, 971 or Macan steering wheel?

That’s correct. This is because Sport Design steering wheels don’t have MF and therefore the option wasn’t enabled by Porsche. And yes, to the airbag style question.

Models A and C sold.

Carbon fibre trim available as well as matching trim for PDK shifter.

I can install the cf trim ($500 extra) on models B or D.




Sport Design steering wheel available for
$1900 with leather airbag.
$1400 without airbag
