Description:

I've been on the fence about this for awhile but as I'm approaching the final stage of my build with this car I've come to the conclusion that if deep down, I really want the GT3, then I should go that route and be done with it.

This is an early 98 build (delivered in July, 1998) cable throttle 911. I purchased this car in September, 2020 from the owner of Rasant Products, who specializes in air cooled engine management and builds. This was his personal project. Photos from his build are here from the beginning of 2020 when he did the engine rebuild and overhauled the car:

Here's the sheet of everything that was done during the build under his ownership:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1W5z...ew?usp=sharing

When I got the car, I did the following:

  • October, 2020 - Corner balanced at West End Alignment to Euro height at 91,111 miles
  • October, 2020 - Replaced starter motor and cable
  • October, 2020 - OEM Aerokit II Side Rockers and painted calipers yellow and amberdectomy on headlights
  • November, 2020 - New cabin air filter, ignition switch and Bosch wiper blades at 92,083 miles
  • January, 2021 - addressed squeaks/rattles and installed Function First Yellow transmission mount insert @ 92,854
  • January, 2021 - Oil change with Mobil 1 0w-40 at 92,950
  • February, 2021 - Re-webbed seatbelts yellow, alcantara upholstery, plastic trim in gloss black
  • March, 2021 - Replace fuel injectors with 3.6 Bosch Injectors at ~93,000 miles
  • April, 2021 - Bumperette delete and repaint entire bumper along with replacement OEM license plate lights at 93,574
That covers maintenance items that I've done. Overall, this car is very well sorted, does not squeak or rattle when driving as all of that has been addressed when I did the interior overhaul.

Now, as far as how the car will be sold, I have a handful of different options:
  1. Return to stock - $30,000. I'll return the car to stock which means stock door cards, 3 spoke steering wheel, original dash (not Alcantara), center console goes back in, stock shifter/cables and black leather seats. Airbags and such go back in. I'll need to order a GT3 center console delete. Air vents and other plastic pieces will stay gloss black. A/B/C pillars will stay Alcantara.
  2. Modified Interior - $33,000. The interior will be as shown minus the GT3 bucket seats. You'll get all the OEM parts that you can install later but Momo steering wheel, minimalist interior, custom door cards/pulls, Alcantara dash etc... Further, the Numeric shifter and Numeric cables stay.
  3. Other. If you want it slightly differently, I'm open to discuss. I'm possibly willing to part with the Manthey RE795 wheels which have near brand new Michelin Cup 2s and the GT3 bucket seats. I also have an Aerokit I front bumper that I'm repairing and a Aerokit I taco wing that should be ready for primer but that's getting into a build price that I think most would be hesitant about.
After Hours exhaust can be kept for +$500 (it sounds fantastic)

Other notes:
  • Here's the AutoCheck report
  • Blackstone report
  • The car was repainted by the previous previous owner, it presents well but there are tapelines visible near the window trim. Replacing the window trim would hide a lot of it
  • The car was involved in a minor accident, it looks like the front right side was the area involved
  • Car currently weighs approximately 2,751 pounds with the Antigravity battery installed and Manthey Wheels
  • Windshield is due for a replacement, it has a small star in it and is pitted. It's not terrible but is something you notice at night.
  • The stereo is removed but all the wiring is there. I can put the speakers and such back, you'll just need to install a headunit into the parcel slot.
