Description:
After recent back surgery, I must reluctantly offer my Spec Boxster race car for sale. This has been a six-month off-season project aimed at creating a top-of-the-line racer. No expense has been spared. Everything is within rules limits. It has current PCA (SPB) and SCCA (T3) log books (good through 2021). The car is a $55K project, but the price is negotiable. The car is located in central Florida, not far from Orlando, Tampa or Jacksonville.
The chassis was built in 1999. The stock M96 engine shows roughly 75,000 miles and pulls about 195 HP (above average for an SPB). There is a stock G86/00 5-speed transmission. The car was recently aligned and corner-balanced by Zotz Racing in Orlando. Pro driver Todd Lamb did a two-day private test at Barber Park in late December to dial in the suspension setup. He came within .7 of the SPB track record. Cory Friedman drove the car for a day at Roebling and came within .2 of the track record on old tires.
This car is ready to race to the front.
