Description:
I purchased this car fall of last year, 2020, from Tom Rittenberg (TomRitt on 6speed and here), with plans to keep it as my forever car. Unfortunately, my plans have changed. However, fortunately, they’ve changed for the best possible reason: After being admitted to the law schools of my dreams, I have opted to step away from my current 17-year profession for a mid-career change.
So, let me be clear at the outset that I do not need to sell the car. If I cannot get close to the asking price in the near- to medium-term, with a pre-defined time-limit in mind, I will simply keep the car through law school and, thereafter, once again start planning for it being my forever car. Over the next three years of school, I will simply not be able to appreciate it as much as it should be appreciated. So, if you’re looking for the perfect 996TT, well-built and reliable, look no further, Tom’s original ad slightly modified and updated below:

Original ad from Tom, modified/edited slightly, as noted with my initials (PG):
The time has come to sell my 2002 Porsche 911 Turbo. At 600hp./600 ft./lbs. [PG – a bit less, just at the crank] this car has been the most fun daily driver that I’ve ever owned [PG – concur with Tom on this point]. It has been extremely reliable, but extremely fast at the same time [PG – concur again]. This car has been modified quite extensively, with the majority of the work including the installation of the EVO600 Turbo kit, completed by renowned Porsche shop Sharkwerks in Fremont, CA.
With ~95,500 miles on the clock, this car is extremely clean and needs nothing. I do drive the car every day, and, with the current setup, it’s been a great DD [PG – concur yet again, though no winter driving here either]. The coolant lines are pinned, and the clutch has been converted to the GT2 style, so the common trouble spots of the 996TT have been attended to. Along with these mods are a plethora of other goodies to enhance the driving experience. Tom had, and provided me, over $30k in receipts for tasteful mods and service done to this car. This 996TT even has Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth!
Mods are as follows:
Engine:
EVO600 Stage IV Turbo Kit
EVO K24 exhaust headers
EVO diverter valves
EVO V-Flow Intake
Europipe Exhaust w/ 100 cell catalytic converters [PG – sounds absolutely perfect]
Evolution Motorsports boost hose kit
EVO wastegate boost kit
Hitachi upgrade kit (meter, MAF housing, harness, and EVOMSit program conversion)
Pinned Coolant Lines
Trans/Drivetrain:
EVO/B & M short shift kit
Sachs Stage 2.5 Clutch Kit
GT2 master/slave cylinder conversion kit
Suspension/Wheels/Tires:
H & R sway bars front and rear
Bilstein PSS10 coilover system
Forgeline GA3R Wheels 18x9 & 18X12
Michelin Pilot Sports – (3,000 miles on fronts, fewer than 1,000 on rears)
Interior/Exterior:
Rennline License Plate Mount
Pioneer AVH-4200NEX
Apple Carplay & Android Auto
Bluetooth
DVD Player
Factory options include:

Can we chat about the car a bit? I don't see an easy way to PM you - I wonder if I'm restricted because I'm brand new? I can email or phone when you're available
Thanks
Michael
Given my desire to go PM first, I'd rather not post my other contacts directly on here. Could you provide a means of contact? If so, I'll get in touch today

I will email you back with all my contact details.
I've gotten two PMs already as well, but you're first in line
I will email you back with all my contact details.
And just for the room, so to speak, I have two seemingly serious prospective buyers already, with another potential, pending further communication. I will respect "dibs," but please keep any offers and interest coming

The online buying/selling world can be wildly frustrating, especially the car one. Sometimes, however, it works out incredibly well.
That's very true in this case. Within an hour of my original post, Michael responded. His was the *very first* post. Shortly thereafter, emails were exchanged and a good-faith deposit received. Ultimately, I delivered him the car a little while ago and he and his family are already thoroughly enjoying it, to my understanding
Thanks again for all the additional interest. And, post-law school, I'll surely be back on here, keeping an eye out for the next perfectly-maintained dream car
