Hi Joe,
Are you sure that you have a 968 TT there? It looks to me like a 944 TT and they are not the same. I'm looking at the shape of the bell housing. Here is a picture of a torque tube from a 1992 968. I believe that the shape of the bell housing to match up to the 6-speed G44 transmission remained as shown in this picture. Or maybe this is a 944 tube that was modified to be a 968 tube. That's been done successfully a few times.
Would you pleas clear this up? 968 tubes are hard to find right now. There are a bunch of people out there who would like to be sure of what this is. Maybe more detailed pictures?

Thanks for the post but I removed this from my 93 968 myself - you certainly know more than me on these so is there a code / stamp or something I can look for to confirm? Happy to take detailed pics of any aspect that is helpful.

You must have removed this from a triptonic 968 transmission car which is basically a 944 TT
