For Sale: Cam Driven Vacuum Pump Setup for all Mezger Engine GT3s - Standard on 997.2 GT3/Cup - An Upgrade for 996 and 997.1 GT3's. - OEM Porsche Parts
BRAND NEW NEVER USED.
Improved brake pedal feel and more consistent vacuum supply to the brake booster at all RPMs and Altitudes. This is a bolt on plug-and-play upgrade for all 996 and 997.1 GT3 engines, and was standard starting with the 997.2 GT3 and CUP cars. This vacuum pump replaces the driver's side lower cam cover/oil scavenge pump to add the tandem cam-driven vacuum pump integrated into the scavenge pump. The vacuum hose then runs from the pump to the factory port above.
This installation can be done with the engine in the car. The driver's side exhaust cam will need to be timed as part of the installation process.
This kit includes:
997 107 022 91 - Cam Cover with combination oil scavenge pump and tandem vacuum pump
997 105 036 70 - Vacuum hose line including integrated bracket
997 105 317 71 - Special cam sprocket bolt with weep hole down center to allow oil to flow to lubricate the vacuum pump
999 707 425 40 - Cam cover seal
999 707 482 41 - Cam cover seal
997 107 357 70 - Combination screw holds vacuum hose bracket
900 385 130 01 - Vacuum hose bracket bolt upper
900 385 050 01 - Vacuum hose bracket bolt lower
900 385 270 01 x6 - Cam cover bolts
999 511 250 02 - Clamp/guide for vacuum line
900 385 041 01 - Bolt for clamp/guide for vacuum line
900 123 106 30 Oil line crush washer (where oil line attaches to back of cam cover (Extra - Included with new cam cover preinstalled)
999 707 499 40 O-ring Cam cover backside fitting to block (Extra - Included with new Cam cover preinstalled)
999 701 489 40 x2 O-rings Vacuum line to cam cover (Extra - Included with new vacuum line)
I learned about this modification from @powdrhound who did this mod on his 996 Turbo engine (Note that the Turbo and GT3 vacuum pumps are different due to the higher redline on the GT3, but all other parts used are the same). He discusses this modification here: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-turb...tallation.html
Asking $1250 shipped to CONUS for this kit. New cost from Sunset Porsche was over $1500.
All new parts never installed in original Porsche packaging. The only thing that needs to be added is a plug of some type to block off the manifold vacuum port that this pump replaces once installed.
PM me if interested.

Thanks for looking!!

The ad states it's an upgrade for the 997.1 GT3's but looking under my car, it appears that I already have that part on my car. I then throw that part number into the parts finder and it says that it's a fit for my car which leads me to believe that it's not an upgrade for the 997.1, but rather a stock replacement part.

That's interesting. I didn't think it showed up until the 997.2 Turbo/GT3s. I'll look into it further. Do you have a 997.1 GT3 or Cup?

So I checked both the 997.1 GT3 and 997.1 Cup car catalogs and this was definitely NOT included on 997.1 GT3s, it did not show up until the 997.2 GT3 and Cup car engines. Someone must have installed it on your car at some point, which is a nice upgrade!
