Description:

FS: Motorsport Electric Power Steering Kit - Complete and ready to install.

Fits: All 996, 997, 986/987 Boxster/Cayman.

History: An upgrade to eliminate the parasitic drag of the PS pump,  Porsche started first offering this on the 997.1 Cup cars.  It is a very popular modification for Spec Boxster/Cayman race cars, as well as any 996/997/Boxster/Cayman Carrera, C4S, GT2, GT3, Turbo, S, etc Street/DE car.

Kit includes:
-OEM Porsche TRW Electric Motorsport Power Steering Pump (From a 997.1 Cup car) - Used, bench tests great (see video).
-OEM Porsche overflow tank (optional, will require adding nipple on the PS pump cap) - New never installed.
-CNC milled PS pump mount custom made by Cervelli Technical service - Bolts to spare tire weld nut (bolt included) - New, test fitted but never used.
-Custom wiring harness made for PS pump, setup for 996/997 fitment.  Boxster/Cayman fitment may require modification - New never installed/connected.
-Custom hoses for 996/997 or 986/987 Boxster/Cayman chassis made by Cervelli Technical Service (90 degree blue connectors used for 996/997, Straight connectors used for Boxster/Cayman) - New never installed.
-OEM Porsche PS hose O-rings for fittings at steering rack - New never installed.

Kit should be ready to install in any of the above applications.  You will need a shorter serpentine belt once your PS pump is deleted.
Power is run directly off the battery (there is a 60A fuse in the harness).  Signal wires (two) run off alternator circuit, most people find this in the frunk at the ABS connector, or run to the fuse box.

Bench test video for pump:

**Example photo of installed pump is on a friend's 996 Turbo, this kit was never installed.**

Asking $1500 for the kit plus shipping to CONUS.

I think he plans to use them but if you contact Cervelli Technical Service in Golden CO I'd think that Chris Cervelli can make you a set.

I bought the pump used on Rennlist. The custom mount for it was CNC'd by Cervelli Technical Service in Golden, CO. I made the wiring harness myself.
