In 1973, the 911 was offered in three performance levels: T with 130bhp with two triple choke carburettors, E with 165bhp and S with 190bhp with Bosch fuel injection system.
The 911 has been enthusiastically owned for the last 28 years and completed many European tours and a bespoke aluminium fuel tank guard was fitted as a precautionary measure for the Alpine passes.
The history file contains invoices dating back until 1986 with notable Porsche specialists being entrusted, namely, Francis Tuthill, Rennspeed and Strasse. MOT records dating back until 1982 are on file. Photographs and an invoice evidence a glass out bare metal respray in 1986 which has largely stood the test of time very well. During the past 12 months, XTE300L was sent to Strasse in Leeds for an engine and gearbox rebuild; bills on file for circa £8500 support this.
Amongst the history file is a 1973 911 T/E/S drivers manual, sales brochures and a technical data sheet along with a Certificate of Authenticity and Certificate of production from Porsche Cars GB showing a manufacturing date of 9th February 1973. The date of registration in the UK was 12th March 1973.
On the road, the 911 displayed all the attributes of a well sorted car that has been regularly used and maintained regardless of cost. It is only coming to market due to the changing circumstances of its owner.
