Hello, There has been some questions regarding the GIAC ECU Performance Tune, regarding its effect on emissions testing in California. I talked GIAC and although the tune does not effect any of the emissions controls, they do not recommend taking the emission test with the GIAC ECU tune. What they do recommend is re-flashing the ECU back to stock, then go through the emissions test and afterwards reflash the ECU back to the GIAC performance tune. The GIAC flash is tied to the VIN, NOT the owner, so it can be done anytime, no matter who owns it! GIAC will do this for free or it can be done at any GIAC distributor.

I found this on the GIAC website. It shows what my car is capable of putting out with the GIAC ECU tune, that is currently installed on the car. It looks like under the normal pump mode, that I am in, that the car is at 545 HP & 545 Ft-Lbs. of torque. I wonder what this car is like in Race Mode: 600 HP & 600 Ft-Lbs. of Torque!

**Update, I had let my RL paid membership lapse shortly after this ad was posted and didn't have access to update this ad until today.
*The 911 is currently in storage in a car bag in my barn. It is a Winter wonderland here in upstate NY so I plan to keep the vehicle sealed up and off the road until weather improves.
*There is a pending recall from Ohlins on the FRONT coilovers. I have a pair coming from Ohlins and those will be installed with the Ohlins supplied Elephant Racing camber plates once I get the car to my mechanic in the Spring.
TRADES!!
I did have a user contact me today and asking about potential trades. If there were someone with any of the following vehicles looking for a 996 TT I would consider discussing a trade/partial trade-
987.2 Boxster Spyder (6MT, AC, buckets)
987.2 Cayman R (6MT)
996 GT3
911 - G50 trans, coupe
Lotus Elise/Exige
Caterham Super 7 (SV chassis)
BMW 325i coupe or sedan (89-91)

If still available please contact me at graylaw@qwestoffice.net. My name is David. I'm in Minnesota so if we come to terms I guess I'm in no hurry to come and get the vehicle as long as the "Winer Wonderland" exists but that is something we can discuss.

I am interested in discussing a possible trade. I have an all original, numbers matching, 1989 Carrera 3.2. GP white, champagne interior, factory spoilers. I am contemplating selling it this spring when the roads are clear of salt. Not much snow here in Philly, just waayyy too much salt. If this perks your interest send me a message or email me at tjmollen@yahoo.com.
thanks, Thom
