Description:
Selling my 1990 Porsche 944 S2. Bought the car three years ago off of Bring a Trailer from its previous owner (20+years) in STL where it was lovingly cared for and garaged. Since then, I owned, garaged, and did all the work on the car, and loved every minute of it, from highway cruising on road trips to Joshua Tree and Eureka to back roads adventures on Skyline. Unfortunately, a few months ago I lost control of the car and it hit a tree up near Mendocino. The front left rail got a little tweaked, and there is some cosmetic damage to the right rocker. The car could start, but parts of the front end got pushed into the engine pulleys so I'm not exactly letting it idle. Working with insurance has been a huge pain, and so I've decided to offer it up here as a project for someone to fix or as a potential parts car. Parted out, this thing is worth $8k. Why?
- 3L S2 motor, 120k miles
- LSD S2 transmission, most desireable of all 944 transaxles (shorter ratios than 951 LSD trans)
- Uncracked Dash! Uncracked Dash!
- factory M474 Koni yellows
- 10 speaker stereo, so special door cards and rear seat trim
- 968 M030 sways
- D90s with 0 blemishes on Contisport Exteme contact Sport DW tires, 205 up front, 225 in rear, with ~7k miles on them
- Original tool kit, spare, sunroof panel bag, etc.
Everything on this car worked prior to the accident. I'd spent a lot of time going to places like parts heaven and eBay to sort out all the tiny details, so I was really sad to see it in an accident. If you want to save it the nose panel and front bumper would need to be replaced, it'd need some frame work, and possibly also the left fender too; right fender, doors, and rear end are fine. Hard to get really good photos of the damage to the car but I tried my best. It's in my garage in Noe, so feel free to come check it out.
The link of the original BaT listing is below. Insurance has offered me a good settlement for it, so please don't low ball me, I just want to see it go to a good home. Car is being offered with a Salvage title to be on the safe side, but that still isn't finalized and I may be able to offer it with a clean title.

Also, I put willing to trade on here bc I'm a car guy, not just a Porsche guy, so I'm open to whatever freaky ideas you may have. 1993 Montero? Daihatsu Charade? W124 Wagon? Sure!
