Description:
1986 Zermatt Silver Porsche 944 Turbo
Hey all - I'm selling my 944 Turbo that I have had for just less than a year -- priced at $12,750. I have put less than 1k miles on it since I have owned it (car has ~142k), and now I need to sell given the economic changes. This car has been very well maintained, and has some very nice aftermarket parts to make it incredibly reliable and strong. The car was recently repainted in the original Zermatt Silver and looks really great (probably an 8.5/10 paint job as there are a couple of areas that have a bubble/drip). The interior is probably an 9/10 if you exclude the dash cracks (hidden by the dash cover) -- the center console is still attached and opens and closes as it should (a rarity for these cars). The leather is in great shape, only a minor gouge (does not go through the leather) on the drivers side. Driver's side bolster is wearing, but still holding on! The seats are electric and still work great. The stereo was replaced a while back, with all new speakers and a small sub in the back. I don't have a lot of details on the system, but it seems rather nice. The system sounds nice. and the car is really pretty quiet while on the road. The sunroof has a saratoga top on it (no original roof anymore), and it has held up well -- sunroof works, raises and closes as it should.
Anyway, on to the list of parts:
Mechanical:
- The engine was redone and completely resealed at 110k -- a wide fire head gasket was also installed at this time.
- An upgraded garret turbo was added recently (I believe a super 48 from Lindsey racing according to the previous owner)
- Speed force polished intercooler pipes have been added
- Full 3 inch Lindsey back exhaust,Tial f46 wastegate, larger dump pipe from WG, etc.
- The correct chips and tune is installed to match the exhaust and turbo. I am not sure which chips though, I have not cracked open the ECU.
- Forge diverter valve was installed along with Lindsey Racing silicone hose kit
- A new Lindsey Racing fuel rail and 3 bar regulator, along with new fuel lines to prevent any fires.
- I was told the intake is ported and polished -- though I have not confirmed (it is obviously polished on the outside though )
- the car was repainted 2 years back Zermatt silver when this was done the exterior received all new genuine seals and rubber weatherstripping
- I was told the car has a koni M030 suspension all around -- it is incredibly smooth and handles very well in the corners, but I have not confirmed it is M030 myself.
- The water pump, belt and rollers all look good (Previous owner mentioned they were recently replaced).
- The plugs and wires were recently replaced, and the ignition coil also looks newer.
I have a Porsche car cover for it, and a few spare parts (new control arms, which should be swapped in soon), cat back exhaust section, spare DME, I have a set of rotors and pads for it (front pads are at maybe 75%, rear pads are at 50% - front rotors are likely good for a while, rear rotors should be replaced when the pads are done).
I have the carfax - no accident car, no damage reported (happy to share if you ask). It looks like the odometer might have been rolled back though. The gauges and odometer looks to be refreshed VDO gauges. My guess is, the instrument cluster was changed and the odo was about 10k behind the current car. It was so many owners ago (66k miles on odometer), hard to say. Regardless, it has been well maintained and highly cared after (I have about 3 inches thick of paperwork going back over 13 years)
Let me know what questions you have, I have tried to describe everything as honestly as I can - Thanks!
