I am pleased to offer my personal 2003 Mercedes CLK 320 convertible. I purchased the car in 2018 as a way to reduce the mileage from my primary car. Since my purchase, I've enjoyed the car tremendously and spent at least $7000 (with receipts) to maintain and repair the car in order for it to provide carefree miles . VIN # is WDBLK65G43T137766. I'll list the repairs below.

Color combination is very unusual and striking in 586 magma red with 215 beige leather (not tex). While you see those CLK's mostly in coupes, seeing one in convertible form is great and the red color really turns heads.



Original options include:

The mileage is 175,xxx but don't let that number scare you. Car is really in tremendous shape considering the mileage and is a real joy to drive. I would not hesitate to drive this car from VA to NJ (265 miles) without hesitation (which I've done numerous times). In addition, the rare color sigma red is very eye catching and I'm constantly given "thumbs ups" from pedestrians that I pass. The car provides extremely reliable transportation and because it's a Mercedes, it's likely to go forever as long as it's maintained.

Work that I've had done since 11/18 include:

- Purchase Weather Tech all season floor mats - $115

- Perform Service B tune up (fluids, filters, plugs), also replace 2 front springs $2075

- Replace crank position sensor and asst. bulbs $442

- Wheel alignment $140

- 4 new Goodyear tires $581 (2/19 at 165k miles)

- Oil change $68

- Fix seat belt and align front bumper $393

- Oil change $93

- Re-seal main seal and change transmission cooling lines $1715 - (most people wouldn't do this one - NO MORE LEAKS)

- Full detail inside and out $200

- Steering wheel refurb (professionally paint to match) $160

As you can see above, I was not shy about maintaining and improving this car so that it will be safe to use on a daily basis. Many of the other CLK's out there have not been so diligently maintained. In fact, I'm sure that many of the CLK's out there suffer from deferred maintenance and thus their super low asking price. Beware of those incredibly cheap CLK's.

The car must have been painted at least once in it's life and the paint is quit good and presentable. There are some rust spots on the lower edge of the passenger door which have been painted over and have not progressed at all in the last year (see picture section). The convertible top is in great shape and operates perfectly. The aftermarket stereo combined with the factory Bose speakers sound great. Includes bluetooth and aux. connectivity. The AC works fine as well as the power windows and power seats. Engine compartment is in beautiful shape (looks new).



Flaws:

- There is a split in the drivers leather seat (estimate $600 to replace seat cover with OEM) , I've lived with it for a year and it doesn't bother me at all

- The wheels have some curb rash and flaws. In some cases, they are quit chewed up. Once again, you can source some AMG replacements if you'd like - I'm fine with them

- In-dash digital clock does not work - I added an aftermarket digital clock

- Passenger seat back does not go forward - cable needs to be replaced



This is a great second or daily driver vehicle. Great Mercedes quality with the fun of a convertible. Very reliable and fun to drive and well maintained with mileage to prove it. Don't get sucked into a CLK for $3500 that has been neglected and then you can spent another $7000 on needed maintenance. These are great cars that will run forever if properly maintained by a Mercedes specialist. That's what I did and now have a great reliable car to offer.
