Description:
This could possibly be one of the best cared for Cayennes you can buy today. Many with half the miles will be in such poor shape you'd never consider driving them cross country, which I do regularly with this.
All service records available from 70,000 miles to current 204,000.
If there is a regular issue that creeps up on Cayennes, it has been addressed, and addressed properly.
- Water pump, coolant pipes, starter, lower control arm bushings, cardan shaft, rear hatch struts, transmission valve body(Revmaxx), all TSBs, rubber hoses under intake, coils, plugs, torque strut, coolant expansion tank, valve cover gaskets. All have been replaced and done right. There are no backyard mechanic fixes on this vehicle.
- No fluid leaks of any kind
- Ball joints replaced at same time as lower control arm bushings (just put in new lower control arms rather than just bushings)
- Two keys, both functioning properly.
- New battery 2017
- Two sets of tires with 2 seasons left on Bizzaks and one season on summer wheels
- Factory tow package. I regularly pull my 17' ski boat 500 miles a weekend and recently pulled a motorcycle trailer 2000 miles in two days back to back. (got speeds over 100 with that trip too)
- Vehicle is regularly driven to Vail and back (1800 miles) with never an issue
- Burns/uses no oil
- All oil changes since 170,000 have been analyzed by Blackstone labs. Showing excellent engine condition.
- Oil changes are currently done at 6,000 miles per Blackstone recommendation due to oil additive life
- All oil changes get Ceratec moly additive
- Center diff, rear diff and transfer case have recently had fluid changes with proper fluids
- Only Pentosin coolant used. Changed every two years.
- Driver door latch replaced by Porsche dealer because I thought it felt a little loosey goosey.
- I don't do things half ***.
- Clear bra on front, mirrors, inside door handles where you nails scrape and headlights.
- New windshield December 2019 (I change all my vehicle windshields at least every 5 years, don't like sandblasting that comes from driving on highway
- Rear backup camera in rearview mirror.
- Sony head unit replaced Becker factory radio (still have). Plug and play installation, no wires cut. All steering wheel controls function, mute, seek, vol. Apple car play in unit. Easily reversible if you wanted to. You could be back to factory in less than 30 min. Has CD changer in rear, disconnected with an ipod connector (MOST) jacked into fiber optic system if you did want to go back to factory but still use a phone.
- Tool kit in back. All tools and spare tire present.
So what's wrong with it you ask. I have two things I'd address. One, small area of carpet 2" x 1" under front of driver's seat where battery cover is is coming loose. I've glued it before but my foot must hit here all the time. Two, my bonehead 14yo son pulled on back of driver's seat and unstuck one of the clips I repaired on the well known seat backs falling off. That's it.
I am going to list on Bring a Trailer and eBay after I list on Rennlist. Rennlist is getting a $500 discount.
