1955 Porsche Spyder is a tribute car to the Mille- Miglia winner of it's class in 1955, Nicknamed the Giant Killer #541 (#550-15)

The car features fiberglass body panels over a tubular steel frame fabricated by Thunder Ranch on Beck specs. The car was modified for racing by the previous owner. Upgrades included a 2161CC type I Flat four engine, built by Scat performance Engines, featuring dual Webber IDF 44 carburetors and paired with a type I transaxle. Also added were Bilstein shocks, cable shifter, deep Oil sump, full flow oil filter and much more.

This tribute is adorned with ox blood taillight spears and Mille Miglia vinyl decals and gold Spyder scripts (vinyl decals are removable w/o any damage to paint) The car is fitted with tan leather clamshell straps, a brand new frameless Plexiglas windscreen and a dash mount mirror.

Tan racing-style seats are fitted with gray Crow Racing seat belts and the car comes with a removable headrest fairing (racing nocelle) for the driver, as shown.

The car features a curb weight of approximately 1,300 pounds and is a ROCKET.

The cabin includes a dash-mounted rear-view mirror and period correct banjo steering wheel. Instrumentation consists of VDO gauges as seen in the photos. Odometer indicates 14,800 Km (approximately 6700 miles), around 500 miles of which were added after the new engine was installed.

Powdercoated 5-lug wheels are mounted with modern Michelin XZX tires, and braking is from all around disk brakes. The vehicle had been placed in a racing stance, but its easily adjustable with air shocks in the rear axle

We just performed a thorough ($2k) maintenance on the vehicle that included a tune up, valve adjustment, oil and filter,new fan belt. A new battery and a new starter were installed as well. A thick build folder indicating all the upgrades and services performed is available. This vehicle is truly TURN KEY!
