Putting it back up on Rennlist for the springtime. Car is freshly out of the shop after a total overhaul of the sunroof mechanism and new drive belts.

This 993 Carrera 2 was originally purchased in Houston, TX (the first owner quickly sold it to his friend, who owned it from 1998 until I purchased in from him in Austin in 2010 with 27,000 miles on it). So, it's technically a 3-owner car but practically it's seen only two owners.


I drove it another 11,000 miles in Texas and then moved to Chicago. It was always garaged, and since I've been in Chicago I store it in the winter (STA-BIL, trickle charger, car cover, etc.)


It's seen a track only once (DE at Harris Hill Road in Texas) and has been well cared for. Paint is in excellent condition (a couple of small scratches. Front bumper & fenders have apparently been resprayed before I acquired the car but no sign anywhere of rust, bubbling or damage. Leather is in very good condition, vinyl / plastic very good (one small crack in the rear deck).

I have maintenance records since 2002 (I assume it was dealer serviced before that and he never got the printouts). It's mainly been serviced by TPWS and Northwest Imports in Austin, TX and then by VFC Engineering in Chicago. All scanned & PDF'd for serious buyers.

Original manuals and jack/toolkit/spare included.


Selling it because it just stopped making sense storing it every winter while living in Chicago. Someone needs to buy this beauty and drive it like it wants to be driven.
