Description:
All gauges work as they should. Oil pressure is a little bouncy. All lights and electronics work including sunroof. The second hand on the clock does not work. Tuned up 100 miles ago. New plugs, valve adjustment, valve cover gaskets, fuel filter, air filter, oil change/filter. It has turbo valve covers. New clutch cable last summer, clutch adjusted. No broken lower head studs (pics to prove it). Brakes flushed 2 summers ago (400 miles) when I replaced master cylinder. Break pads have plenty on them and will include a set. Brakes tight and straight.
AC not hooked up and heater does not work. I have not even looked into why. When I got this car it had many oil leaks. The Oil Supply Pipe from Oil Thermostat to Front Cooler Supply Line was smashed, cut and coupled. It leaked bad. Replacing that and valve cover gaskets helped a lot. Not a smoker any more. It may leak a few drops after drive. Stored in heated garage.
The front right fender has a small ding that I can't get to show when I take pictures. It's at about 2 O'clock down from the top above front wheel. Other than that the body is perfect.
I put in a modern fuse block so no old style fuses to worry about and a modern headlight lighting contactor. Will include old fuse block.
The 915 transmission shifts smooth. Brand new Swepco 201 gear oil, new shifter bushings and coupler.
Upgraded Oil fed/hydraulic chain tensioner
Original Fuch wheels 6x15 front and 7x15 rear
Dashboard is perfect, Interior in excellent shape
New battery, battery tray has no corrosion or rust
Rear fender flares and ducktail which are fiberglass
The last buyer backed out and here is PPI report he had done on it.
Pre Purchase Inspection for 1982 Porsche 911 SC:
Overall car has had cosmetic work on exterior and just enough mechanical work to make road worthy. New clutch cable, valve adjust, fuel filter are all recent. The tub of the car is solid, but most of the exposed metal accessories have rust issues. The brakes, suspension, and steering have not been refreshed and will need some work. There is an exhaust leak from the engine that looks like it could be from a pulled cylinder head stud (oil leaking from cylinder 3 base). The car has had body work in the back from either being hit in the back or hitting something backwards. It's not damaged badly, but needs to be fixed properly. The faces of the gauges have been changed to white and some of the text is not cleanly displayed. This is a quick overview of a few of the things that are immediately noticeable with the car, it would definitely need some serious work to make it into a nice investment quality car.
