997 shifter assembly. I bought this for a 986 Boxster to try as a short shifter but didn't like the feel. It was in the car for a total of 1 day.

Was this brand new when you bought it so total used life is 1 day ?

That is correct. I purchased it brand new, used it for a day, and removed it.
