Description:
Selling my 1985.5 Porsche 944. I have owned the car for 13 years, I completed a no expense spared, engine tear down and rebuild 12 years ago. Since the rebuild I have put approximately 10k miles on the car, primarily driving it to HPDE events and doing a few laps. It has never been raced and maintains a stock interior, suspension, and engine. 175k miles on the chassis. Car has sitting for 4 years, however I just put a jump pack on it and it started right up. I drove it down the block and it still drives great. Prior to parking it, it has never given me a single issue since the engine overhaul, always started up and drove perfectly. Have a stack of maintenance records and photo documentation from rebuild to share with prospective buyers. Details of the work completed per the rebuild below:
-Engine overhauled at Circle Performance in Brockton, MA. Work included:
*Machining block deck
*Bead blast & ultrasonic clean pistons. Apply Swain coating to piston skirts and tops
*Crankshaft polished and balanced
*Cylinder head valve guides replaced
*Grind and blueprint cylinder head valves.
*Bead blast cylinder head chamber and ports
*Cylinders honed
*Resurfaced cylinder head
-New main bearings and rod bearings
-new piston rings
-New head studs
-New timing belt & balance shaft belt
-New OEM water pump
-All gaskets and seals replaced
-New ignition system (plugs, wires, rotor, distributor cap
-New piston rings
-External oil cooler from 944 Turbo (951) installed
-New timing belt rollers / pulleys
-New wheel bearings
-New brake pads and rotors front and rear
-New clutch slave & master cylinders
-All fluids replaced
-Alignment
A/C, power steering, and radio have been removed. Otherwise interior is stock and in good condition.
