Selling my 944 Turbo Cup which is one of 39 cars built for the 1988 Rothmans 944 Turbo Cup series.

I bought the car from the original owner five years ago. The car had just been fully restored in the shop of Engineered Automotive and returned to the original livery. It retains all of the magnesium pieces including wheels, manifolds, and various other pieces. It performs perfectly, just as new, due to the exacting restoration by EA. It has been resting peacefully in my shop alongside 6 other 944 turbos with maintenance being performed annually.

The car comes with binders of all correspondence including the original purchase order, letters from Porsche's racing division, photos of most race events and all race results for the Rothmans Cup series.

The 944 Turbo Cup was developed in Weissach on the base platform of the 944 Turbo, and beyond that it was completely modified. It has a reinforced chassis, more adept transmission oil cooling, and a stronger turbo. The car has a lot of lightweight modifications: titanium oil pan, air intake and wheels. The interior was stripped down, although they kept the seats, which is atypical. It is 600 pounds lighter than the normal 944 Turbo, 0-60 is 4.4 seconds.
