Do you know the power figures? Are you looking for another engine or just parting out a car?

The HP is around 375. I am parting out or selling the car complete. I will have to contact Dawe’s to see if he has the synopsis sheets.

375 is quite a lot! Do you know the redline is? Does it have to run on race gas, or can I tune it for 91(I’m in CA)?If I bought it’d be to put in a street car and swap a fuel injected ITB setup onto it instead of the carbs. Do you think that this engine would be suitable for that?

Redline is 7500 rpm, it runs on 110 octane, I spoke with my shop and he said you could run a lower octane if you retard the timing but he thinks that you would still need to run some octane boost, you can switch to a ITB injection system.

I guess what I need to know what would be required for me to run this on 91. It sounds like maybe a lot? 12.6 to 1 is a lot of compression, maybe too much... I'm kinda outta my depth here though.

I spoke to the premier engine tuner in the Northeast and he said that you would need to retard the timing 8 degrees to run 91 octane gas
