This AutoPower Rollcage was first in Don Bryant's race car and then in mine. He moved on to a custom fitted cage and now I'm doing the same, strictly for the weight reduction and custom placement of bars. This car was heavily modified after I bought it and added the "X" Door bar on the driver's side, the additional bar on the passenger side (came with one) and the dash bar. I will include the material for you to make the replacement sleeves for the cage to be bolted back together (Only needs 5 total) and for an extra cost I"ll install the cage in your race car. The cage was altered for the door bars to allow the DOOR HARDWARE and windows to be retained for those who are not ready to remove their door glass, lift motors, and additional hardware. This is an ideal cage for HPDE and street driven race cars. The cage has a serial number stamped by NASA mid Atlantic.
Sorry, Nix the previous question -- Just saw. You are 5 hrs from me. Too far to come and see it. Any plans on being in the NYC area in the near future?
That would be great.. I could send one of my guys to meet you in DE. Can you please send me pics of the floor plates? Are there sandwich plates for the underside of the car? Also, is there any damage to the cage at all?
There are sandwhich backing plates for the underside of all 6 mounting points that meet NASA specs. Also the cage door bars and halo bars that attach the two halves were cut at those joiner bars. I have some tubing that you will use to replace those bars. Nasa requires those bars be welded once bolted in place. So we had to saw through the connectors when removing the cage. No damage to the cage from an accident. We're simply moving to a full custom cage for the racecar.
