Description:

Too many projects and this one I just can't keep.

Details of the Car

Engine:

Original rebuilt 1.7 with stock D-jet fuel injection. Case is bored 040 over with aprox. 35K miles. This was done by the previous owner. The work was done right.

123 Electronic Distributor.

New Bowlsby EFI Wiring Harness.

Rebuilt and calibrated Manifold Pressure sensor.

Rebuilt and flow matched fuel injectors by Witchhunter.

All hoses have been replaced with E10 resistant fuel hose rated for Fuel Injection.

Stainless Steel Heat Exchangers with a new Triad dual outlet exhaust with custom dual outlet stock rear valance. The SSHE's have been welded for strength at the mounting tabs to the heads and do not leak.

Fuel pump was converted to a two port and relocated to the passenger side firewall tucked up high underneath the car and outside of the exhaust heat.

Brad Penn oil has always been used in this engine. 4 spare quarts are included with the sale along with a new spare Mahle filter.

I have taken the aux heater motor off as I live in So Cal. It works and I can re-install it if a buyer wishes to. The heater alone works great without it.

This engine runs like a top and could easily be a daily driver. It is a well sorted and restored original D-jet system. Spare 1.7 fuel injection parts are included with the sale. The Injection has been calibrated with a AFR wideband meter. The odometer was fixed after some work was done and reads aprox 10K.

Suspension and Tires:
New Turbo Ties Rods along with new Lemforder ball joints installed two years ago along with a stock front sway bar with Tarett Engineering adjustable droplinks.

New Bilstein Sport rear shocks and front inserts with #140 rear springs, adjustable anodized perches provided by Rebel Racing.

Rebuilt and powder coated rear trailing arms with harder polyurethane bushings from stock from PMB. Zerks were installed in the trailing arm tubes. Stub axle hubs have been re-plated zinc with new rear bearings pressed in.

Brakes:
All stock. Rear calipers were restored by PMB and the fronts were rebuilt by myself from a PMB kit. All fluid has been changed annually. Rotors are in good shape (within spec).

Wheels and Tires:

Currently the car sits on 2.0 Fuch repros, these are fitted with 205-60's. A restored stock "steelie" sits inside the frunk as a spare. Currently the the tires are 205-60's which work well with the suspension setup.

Electrical:

LED replacements for all dash lights. A new LED interior light replaces the stock bulb. Electric windshield washer was done by PO and is done correctly. The air driven stock washer hoses were disconnected as most 914's are. The fresh air blower has been restored and works well. A "hot" start solenoid has been added to the starting circuit along with a new ignition switch.

Interior:

Seats have been restored to the original brickweave along with the door panels which are the fiberglass units from 914 Rubber. All door rubber fuzzies and scrapers have been restored along with the vent wing rubber. New charcoal "salt and pepper" German carpet makes up the floor coverings. The dash remains original and with a few minor cracks.

The lower knee pad has been replaced with a non-cracked one. A spare targa valance pad and knee pad go with the sale. These spares were intended as "cores" to be recovered and installed later. There is a small tear in the upper back pad from a spare part I hauled once. It is an easy fix.

Exterior:

This car has been resprayed once and is a solid "10 foot car" The license plates on the car are the original "Blues", The rear even has the 1974 original California tag underneath the current one. The original front plate has been restored. This is rare to have the original blue front. The bumper tops are new with the front top a 914 Rubber repop with the rear a new NOS that I got from George Hussey many years back. The front bumper has been re-chromed while the front "bumperettes" are deleted. I have them if you prefer them. They are in "Good" shape with no major cracks. New foglight grilles frame out the restored fogs lamps.

Additionally I have many spare parts including a spare 901 transmission and separate 2.0 fuel injection system along with all the supplemental parts, tin, fan assembly everything except the short block for a 2.1 build that is additional and not included in the sale, but will take offers.
