Description:

Back up for sale!

Selling my Tubi Style Race Exhaust for the 997.1 Turbo. Had to go with cats to pass smog every other year. Will include black ceramic coated OEM style tips (not shown). Asking $1875 shipped OBO. New they are $4550 from Champion, so big savings here!

From the Champion website: "Although the 200 cell catalytic converters that are included in the Tubi Style street exhaust system for the 997 Turbo are far less restrictive then the stock 600 cell cats, there are certain applications where even they are still too restrictive. If power is your ultimate goal, then the Tubi Race is the answer. By completely eliminating the catalytic converters and using a specially designed free-flowing center muffler, the Race system minimizes backpressure and compliments higher horsepower applications, including the use of larger upgraded Billet VTG Turbochargers, perfectly. The increased flow is responsible for an additional 5-10 horsepower over the standard Tubi Street system, on an otherwise stock car. Tubi also included O2 simulators in the Race system to relocate the Oxygen sensors out of the direct flow of exhaust gasses, eliminating any potential CEL (check engine light) issues associated with removing the catalytic converters. Because Tubi realizes that the larger majority of their exhaust systems will spend their time on street cars, the center muffler was also slightly redesigned in this system in order to keep cabin resonance and overall volume at an acceptable level for day to day use without making any compromises in performance. The end result is an intoxicating sound, combining the whistling sound of turbochargers with the distinct exhaust note of a finely tuned Porsche."
