at 1000 miles
city i get 13
highway i get 21
tonight cruising at 95mph i reset the counter and got 24mpg at that speed.
all in all, embarrassing considering the V6 Cayenne would get better mileage, had less hp, and was heavier..
i guess turbo's aren't always better, no replacement for displacement.. Fwiw my macan turbo is in the shop, turbo's not creating boost, CEL's and other lights all over the dash..

Took a 320 mile day trip (about 90% hwy) w/four adults. Hwy @ 75-80 mph with tooling around shopping centers/restaurants. 24.2 mpg. Turned 1,000 miles, and total around 23 mpg....VERY pleased. I think the 17-23 EPA for the S is way conservative. I'm using 93, ethanol-free, which helps...and trying to be a good boy during break-in.

Did a 300 mile round trip in new Macan turbo, mostly cruising at motorway speeds and at 80mph seemed to average 26-27 mpg, whilst cruising through roadworks at 50-60 seemed to get up to 30 mpg (UK gallons so 30= 25 US mpg). Engine may be quite tight, expect better fuel consumption when there is a couple of thousand miles on it. My 991 has improved somewhat now has 4k miles on it.

While this isn't directly related to this MPG topic, one thing I noticed about the three 997.1 cars I had over the past 7 years, was that they all just kept getting better with time. The motors seemed to get spunkier as the miles accumulated, and the mileage improved slightly too. After a few years and 40,000 miles, my last one still felt like a new car to me and ran like a charm every time I drove it. Hopefully the Macan will get better with age as well.

It might help if people noted whether their mileage calculations were made with the car computer or with the miles driven / gals at fill method, might give more reliable data.

Exactly. Also, we need to know if someone is from UK and using imperial gallons. Another reason why people need to include at least their country in their profile.

Imperial gallon = 1.201 US gallon.
Where do u find gasoline without ethanol? Should get near 1 mpg better without ethanol additive, wouldn't u say?
My experience with Porsches ifs the gas mileage improves over the first 15-20k miles, so these initial readings should improve quite a bit.
