Default Scratching on new front rotors

Does anyone have thoughts on what these scratches are along the perimeter of my front rotors? Dealer changed all four rotors and pads during the CPO process. There's not much more than 500 miles on these brakes. The scratches are only on the fronts. Rears look fine. See photos.

I'll also add that the car hasn't been driven hard at all. No hard braking.

How deep are the scratches? You could try the bedding process to see if that cleans the rotors up. Since it’s both sides I don’t think there’s any stuck on your pads but you could power wash both sides just to clean things out…..Phil

The new pads haven't bedded completely into the new rotor yet. It is not an issue. Those radial marks will disappear over time. You don't need to do anything.

Bed them in and it will take care of this.

Those "scratches" are the finish applied to new rotors. It's a process called Blanchard grinding, a cross-hatch pattern . Pardon my French but "*****-footing" after installation of new pads or pads and rotors is really detrimental and unsafe. Good video above but I like to be a little more aggressive. Get on a nice, straight stretch of untraveled road, get up to around 60-70 mph, and firmly brake down to about 30 mph. Do this repeatedly for 6-8 times. Then drive, braking as little as possible to a convenient location. Park without touching the brake pedal or applying the parking brake for about 15-30 minutes to let the brakes cool. Your brakes are now "bedded in".
