I owned 2 Italian cars in the 1970's, a Lancia Flavia and a Fiat 128. Never again.

Though I would make room for a Ferrari 296 GTB if wife would park her CLK 550 at curbside.

I like it!!!
Yum in black or red!

some how, I doubt sharing the same platform with ICE and EV model will work well,
they're two very different system and require very different component placement to optimize performance and usability,
you can't just take out the engine, transmission, gas tank and shove some battery and motor into it,
some manufacturers had done just that, and result in a very unideal product.
The Macan EV is design from the ground up with being an EV only vehicle in mind, the Italian just would not be able to compete in this one.

It looks pretty sharp and the performance figures are there. Will it be worth 50% of what I paid 9 months after purchase? Because that's the true Maserati ownership experience.

MrMarco 03-23-2022 09:42 AM

I wonder how many of the haters have actually driven a Maserati, let alone Ferrari.
I also wonder if it will save Maserati, or how ANY manufacture will survive WWe or WW3.
I recall how disgusted I was by the Cayenne debut, and how wrong I was about it's success. AND
I hope some DB I know will buy one so I can get them to piss their passenger seat.

530hp twin turbo v6!

I believe that will be in a class all by itself for a crossover, and the engine is supposedly NOT a ferrari engine... i'm definitely intrigued

Nickshu 03-23-2022 11:19 AM

Not a fan of the exterior styling, but the engine is tasty.

dak911 03-23-2022 01:47 PM

PORSCHE reliability :D... VS... MASERATI reliability

Competition is always a good thing. Keep Porsche moving forward.

Noah Fect 03-23-2022 06:47 PM

The exterior looks like they started with a Macan and pulled out a few vertices here and there. Not what I look for in an Italian design.

The interior actually looks pretty sharp.

David Beckham Calls the New Maserati Grecale "Absolutely Exceptional"

t-design 03-24-2022 02:59 PM

I don't know... doesn't look too exciting to me. Honestly from the side it might be difficult to distinct from jag... All those SUVs are so look alike, nobody can come up with anything exceptional, like luxury sedans looked really different in the old times, now all those SUVs are carbon copies with just different grill. Why can nobody make areal coupe??? A convertible SUV, targa SUV? something that will shutter the standard, not just same soapbox with different grills.

Terry Adams 03-24-2022 03:20 PM

No matter what Beckham says, anticipated reliability and depreciation fear, whether justified or not, will kill it. Some with Beckham's deep pockets and a 6 car garage will buy it.

I like the 500+ HP and TQ, but there are too many other criteria for wanting an SUV.

DBH 03-24-2022 09:35 PM

Look at Alfa Romeo and Fiat. How has their re-introduction to the USA been? Apparently, Americans are not convinced that Italian cars are worthy of purchase.
