I am ordering Option C ˇ RS Spyder on Frozen Blue, painted blades. The black RS Spyder wheels look great too, but I have had all black wheels on every Porsche since 2008 and want to change it up.

For Frozen Blue and gloss black trim, I would pick Vesuvius RS wheels.

For Frozen Blue and Turbonite Trim, I would pick Turbonite RS wheels. I would get the mirrors and possibly the side blades in body as well to minimize the gloss black.

How about a new option? Not my personal choice but someone might want to do this…

Based on about half dozen vehicles, black wheels are great. Gloss is easy to touch up is you get a rocks chip, while a satin/textured are a little easier to keep clean. I love black wheels but just personally need to mix it up a bit this time.

Aren't they very expensive, these RS Spyder painted in Vesuvius grey?

All personal choices, with many good-looking wheels. A clever thing Porsche does that no other company does is a lot of add on options to incite you. One can easily double the price of a car with available options. So good luck if you can afford them : )
But personally, I wouldn't spend that much money on wheels, on the exterior of the car. I would rather go for better interior options inside where I would be sitting all the time. Again, just a personal preference.

I agree with you @Awas but in the meantime, it could be also very important to have the smile before even opening your car.
That is where Porsche is so good at: you can spec the Porsche you want if you can afford it (or your bank btw).

Personal feeling: big wheels make me happy, and I accept the downsides (pricey, less comfort & efficiency).
At this level of price, I want a usable tool that makes me happy in&out.

Btw, with turbo frozen blue, option A or E.
I was about to choose E for my turbo Ice Gray ; in the end, I have chosen D.
It is very interesting to see that each wheel style does not suit all colors, particularly on this Macan EV.

Great point. It would be about as cost effective to buy higher end aftermarket wheels and tires than to pay Porsche for the RS supper wheels painted. I actually thought about optioning the free wheels for dedicated winter tires and picking up a different set of larger diameter wheels for the summer.

Problem with aftermarket wheels on EVs is that you have no idea of the impact on efficiency.

Wheels for EVs have to be optimized, and it is not a surprise that RS wheels are the less efficient for the Macan: they are more or less standard Porsche ICE design

Yes, it's a nice enough car, and that's why we are all buying it here. But as far as outside looks are concerned, this is never going to be a 911 type almost universally admired shape or a classic Ferrari etc. Many have criticised new Macan (mostly ICE Macan owners) for its shape, how it looks from the back etc. So, in & out looks or a wow factor are a moot point. The ultra expensive wheels are not going to enhance the looks that much. Just my view : )
