Default Sunroof Delete for MY2025

Are you still able to delete the sunroof for Model Year 2025?
I noticed the MY2025 US configurator no longer allows for deleting the sunroof.

Why, do you not like it?
In the UK Pano Roof is an add-on option and costs an additional £1283. In my configuration I did not add it, but my Porsche dealer insisted I must add on as it would cost me mush more in resale value.

I placed my order on launch day and asked my dealer if I could remove the sunroof. He said he could not do it in the configurator, and did not know if Porsche would do it. He put it in the special request field.

I’m looking forward to seeing what gets delivered.

And reason you prefer not to have sunroof?

Even on a 5200 pound car I wouldn't want the weight of a sunroof high up. Usually more headroom without sunroof. Sunroof is just something else to break. I hate sunroofs.

Oh yeah, and they are ugly (ruin lines).

I've had two cars with them 1979 930 and my old BMW, and all my other cars without. Much prefer without.

1. It's actually my wife's choice as it's her primary vehicle. She likes having the roof totally opaque.
2. We've had sunroofs and found them to be more trouble than they are worth.
3. I want our vehicles to be as quiet as possible, and I suspect that a sunroof can introduce more noise.
4. We tend to keep vehicles for 10 years or more, so resale value is not really a concern.
5. We have had a Year One Miata, as well as a BMW R100 Sport. A sunroof is just weak beer.

@gloryrd
Thanks for clarification, and it makes sense.

is it being built yet, I’d be very curious to know if the request holds weight

#1 reason is that the weight of the heavy glass sunroof is in the worst part of the car.
I wouldn't want a sunroof because I've been in too many Macan's with Sunroofs that creak and rattle.
Then I also never look up through it anyways (if you sit close to the steering wheel then the front of the sunroof isn't in your line of sight).
Last reason is that I've had multiple VW & BMW brand cars that have had sunroof leaks.
There are no upsides for a sunroof for me.

Sunroofs make the car more premium looking but are functionally useless. Form over function.

Unless your SA confirms it, I think it’s unlikely. All US models come with sunroof standard. Brightens the interior nicely, and given the heaviness of the car and low center of gravity, unlikely you would feel the weight difference.
