It is, in my opinion having owned & driven a lot of Porsches, a poor reinterpretation of Mexico or Miami Blue, two very sporty colors. They both also were less metallic than other colors but had really striking, rich tones to them. Frozen Blue is Baby Blue and not sporty.

I do think it'll look less bad on the Macan vs the Taycan and you should get the color you want.
First saw it on a Taycan on the road: pointed it to my partner and she said “that’s baby blue”. Since then, that’s all I think about when I see one. 😂

I really don't think FBM is meant to be an interpretation of Mexico or Miami. I think the closest classic Porsche colour to FBM is Meissen Blue which was offered in the late 50s and sporadically since --- FBM is a touch darker (and metallic) but a very similar hue to Meissen.

Agreed that it is not as sporty as Mexico or Miami and, to many, it will look Baby Blue or Powder Blue. I get it, neither of those descriptions is considered very flattering. But IMHO, FBM looks great on the Macan Turbo, contrasting well with the gloss black lower body trim, privacy glass and dark lighting accents (especially at the rear). I also think it will hide dirt better than most of the colours on offer other than maybe IGM or Dolomite. I'm not trying to convince anybody on this --- as you say, it may be the least optioned of the colours --- but every time I see a Taycan in FBM, I do a double take. I'm following my gut. Resale value be damned!

While I really like Frozen Blue the post above noting that it has less metallic than many other Porsche metallic colors is accurate.

Gentian Blue is fairly close, but with Oak Green I can go anywhere in the ACC and not offend the home fans. As long as I stay out of Corvallis, OR I should be fine.
