Default Anyone else not like having no Paddle Shifters ?

On the You Tube channel, Savage Geese, recently, Marc examined the new Macan EV. While driving it he commented that he was
bothered by having to ride the brake with little feed back on a heavy vehicle. This is not a problem with the Gas Powered Macan
which can easily be controlled with the Paddle Shifters.
Not having paddle shifters on the new Macan EV makes purchasing this car a NO GO.

Paddle shifters are for vehicles with transmissions. Guess your a no go on all EV’s.

A “NO GO” is your conclusion. Yes, you took one valid negative (what vehicle does not have a couple of compromises) and then ignored the rest of their 30 minute video extolling how great the Macan EV is. Marc and Jack concluded that comparing the new Macan’s cornering and speed on a curvy country road to everything else, “even supercars made in the last five years, the Macan Turbo can keep up with all of them.”

Jack added at 15:00 into the video, “I guarantee you that if there is another sports car on this road, you are going to keep up with it.”

Clearly, you are heavily ICE biased man, preferring paddle shifters.
If that is your preference then that is fine as many others prefer ICE cars too for various reasons.
But saying not having paddle shifters in an EV is a sort of deal-breaker, is not a valid point.

wow I've seen some posts on rennlist - they are nothing if not consistent - gas cars are a no-go for me because you can't plug them in and fill them up at home.

I have paddle shifters on the steering wheel in a car with a dual-clutch transmission (not a Porsche). I practically don't use it at all, the computer changes gears so efficiently. In BEV it is even more unnecessary.

I do find the "brake/regen" paddles in my Audi Etron useful, but as someone said, this is just one feature in a myriad of features.
