Super expensive at $2,520 in the U.S. Is it worth it? Far from the best Macan video but re the HUD, this is the best video I have seen showing it, e.g., starting at 2:26:

Looks like it guides you towards every turn better than Android Auto could (or even Apple CarPlay, perhaps, which I don't have).
Would be useful driving to unknown places, I think. I plan to take my Macan 4 to Europe, so I have optioned it.
Looks more expensive in the US but in UK, it cost me a little less at £1694.

Brain Wong of Edmunds noted that augmented HUD was excellent, that he never once got lost in southern France and “I do not miss Google maps which I usually use at all.” I will be getting this option.

Good to know that, and I'm getting it. Is it just HUD or Augmented Reality HUD in your Taycan?
I was under the impression Augmented Reality HUD is the first in Macan EV. Hence, its expensive option in Macan

I don't think it is worth it, it would disturb me if I would drive with it on.

HUD is the one and only thing I really miss about my last BMW. I would absolutely order it in any Porsche if it was available.

We love or hate HUD. My daughter first thing on her new car was to turn it off; yet I won’t buy a vehicle without it. Nice we have choices.

saw the Macan EV HUD/AR yesterday - based on in person and PCM demo video in the AR/HUD and comparing it to my 2021 Cayenne - it's a big fat upgrade vs my 2021 Cayenne and a big fat YES for me as an option - I can't wait to play with it in person…

Augmented HUD is one of my most important option choices. Those with lots car testing experience like me, such as Brian Wong of Edmunds, agree it is a really good option. But yes expensive, and as I noted before some blatantly do not want nor like any HUD, e.g. turning it off once and for all.

that video at 2:26 with augmented reality did not sell me. I would've skipped the lane on the right side of the red/white warning center barrier.

Does anyone know if the augmented reality navigation will work with CarPlay, or do you have to use Porsche navigation for that feature to work?

So far everyone has said it will only work with the built-in nav. Proper confirmation will probably only come once the production vehicles arrive.

I will however see if I can test that at PECATL in 10 days.
