Default Talked today with a dealer GM who excitedly drove both versions

We know that dealership personnel are supposed to be positive about their product, but this General Manager was literally effusive in his compliments, especially so about the Turbo version though for both his raving about its seating position, street driving abilities, and its track agility while he was in Singapore recently — including his time driving it on a race track for hours. This is a GM who routinely drives great Porsches, so that he was so highly complimentary about it was very positively telling. But those previous items were not where his compliments stopped, for he next went on to talk about so many of its new, unique components, such as its new UI software, the feel and precison of its HVAC separate screen with its metal “levers,” and more. As he noted, with it being a years’ newer platform, in some really nice ways it starts where the Taycan has evolved to.

This was the first person I personally talked with who drove one, so the excitement in his voice as he described driving it off course it got me further revved up about its summer dealership appearance. And later ordering/driving one myself.

Did you really expect the GM of a Porsche dealer to say anything different?

There's a big difference between saying what people expect you to say, and saying something sincerely and frankly, even if it's what's expected of you!
I had the same feeling with my dealership: real excitement! (He drove the various cars at the Lisbon event).
Let's hope dealerships aren't actors!

Had questions about the deposit amount and directly wanted to clarify with the GM and he also mentioned they are “nice” he went to an event to drive them.

Every new Porsche is amazing, says Sales dude.

Shocker.

TBF, most of them are pretty good.

I know sales pitch from heart-felt enthusiasm. My next vehicle will be my 56th one (a little more than half of them custom ordered new). As per my OP, what I heard was genuine excitement about not only about its features but how it felt on the track.

In just eleven days we will get third party reviews. Bet we hear more of the same positiveness from them.

I tend to agree with you. Macan EV was meant to come out a few years ago, but they kept delaying it. So, they have had plenty of development time and making it better. And after their Taycan experience, their next outing was going to be better. And most pundits and enthusiasts say Taycan is the best EV. Porsche has already claimed, Macan EV is going to be “the sportiest SUV in its segment”, and they are not known to make tall claims. It's not a Fisker

We all expect the MEV to good.

That's really not the issue.

The issue is really whether its "110k good"

Time will tell, of course.

And nothing a dealer or dealer principal will say, or not say, will change that.

Current Macan GTS is $105K nicely equipped good. No doubt in my mind Porsche is producing another driver focused car. I’m in at $126K on the Turbo and expect it will exceed my expectations.

If anyone has missed this video demonstration of some of the Macan Turbo’s track capabilities, the below linked Kyle@OutOfSpec video with his being driven on the Leipzig track by one of the Porsche test drivers, starting at 43:30 and going to about 47:15, will give the evidence that THE MACAN EV IS A PORSCHE — which IMO is what one of the basic questions being asked.
