Default Compass display OR Sport chrono package

Compass display (8LE) or Sport chrono package (8LH)?

I prefer the look/feature of the compass, but I don’t want to lose the Sport plus mode. Maybe this sport plus mode is useless on a Macan.

What do you think?

I chose neither, as it only has aesthetic appeal for some. If it was at no cost, I would have had it, maybe.
Besides, even without chrono package, that drive mode switch is there in the steering wheel to toggle between modes. And that's what I really wanted more than the clock/compass. See my Config below.
My aim was to keep the cost as low as possible, but to have all driver assistant options. So, I was interested in rear-axel steering (very expensive) but the Porsche Sales Executive, who was an experienced guy, said this really is unnecessary as it's a small SUV, and he has driven it in Germany. And as you have never used it, you are never going to miss it. I thought that was a good point.
After this config, my only dilemma is the rear wiper, and I'm still in two minds. It looks better without it, but in UK weather, I wonder if I should keep it?

Here in Paris, it’s rainy too, but I think I can afford not to have the rear wiper for many reasons: it’s not good looking, you don’t need it on highway (thanks to the speed, the rain/dirt don’t stand) and if it’s too dirty in town, there is the backside camera which has an integrated cleaner (this is a game changer compared to my Tesla, the camera is always too dirty after a ride on the highway under rain…)

For the rear axle steering, I was in the same mood, but several Porsche owners told me to take it. I will probably take it.

I agree, there is the toggle button, but I am not sure that the available modes deliver the same results with and without the sport chrono package. I will ask the dealership.

I did compass on mine... this is my daily. Like to have the elevation handy for the winter.

haha... I didn't even bother with SportChrono timer on my inbound Spyder RS. It's my B-Road weekend toy... no need for it.

of course, 100% agree!

I don't remember, but there's in English an idiomatic expression/acronym to say that I'm afraid of forgetting something, so I tend to take everything...
That's what I'm suffering from with this build!

Is there a good picture showing the aesthetic difference?

I think, if you configure it with and without you can see the aesthetic difference.
Here is mine without: https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PRH8MJU4

On the NZ Macan Turbo configurator I can't see a way of configuring the Compass. Maybe because Sport Chrono is standard?

Do you know if the “Launch control” is linked to the “Sport Chrono Package” option? I think it’s the case with the macan ICE

Here is a nice picture of the chrono in a Macan EV at the SXSW :

I remember seeing a motor journalist's video where he said the launch control is now activated by pressing the accelerator hard. I can't remember now which video was that.

Following. I have neither on my current build, but thinking of adding the compass or sport chrono.

I’d actually use/enjoy the compass more and it’s cheaper so this is an interesting discussion. In my previous Macan Turbo, I used Sport Plus basically never. One question I’d have though is if the “Individual” mode is added with the Sport Chrono package. I imagine I’ll use Individual mode all the time. This one is a big question mark to me, although I’m definitely getting one or the other as I think the dash looks odd without something there (they kind of designed it that way).

Hopefully someone can get an answer to that imo also big question as to whether we lose Individual Mode without the Sport Chrono option. It is not listed in the SC option.
