Macan EV: Test Drive

Additional power changes how the car drives in many situations. Not just straight line speed, but how the power come on and adds to the driving experience. While some may assume the Macan is just a midsize SUV it can be much more. Porsche builds driver focused cars. If you need current world example, test drive a Macan S then a Macan GTS back to back. Very different experience.
No doubt majority will be happy with Macan 4 EV. For those that want a more spirited driving experience upgrade to the Turbo if your budget allows. Coming from a Macan GTS, I’m going Macan EV Turbo.

Based on this Porsche would cease selling cars. My 911TT can abuse all the speed laws just like a “turbo” EV, but they sell a ton of those too.

It is a PORSCHE. I celebrate that, and if it has more than a ton of power, I double celebrate its mega power. If down the road Porsche comes out with a 750 HP Macan Turbo GT and some members here choose to buy it, bully for them!

the Macan EV turbo will be sickeningly quick. I drove a taycan GTS and it was ridiculous. This will be even quicker. My 600hp 2002 911TT (stock is 420 hp) is a turtle in comparison.

I’m driving a Taycan Turbo S for the next few weeks.
Really too much power, and would prefer a governor that could limit torque/power and can be overridden for the autobahn.

hopefully- the turbo is always the most powerful but not usually the best handling. I configured the 4 and turbo online to be as similar as possible and the difference is about US$20,000. That leaves space for an in between model with the GTS cosmetic and handling improvements and power somewhere in between.
