If the 24s have regular CarPlay and the 25's get CarPlay 2, then I'll wait for the 25's.

It is a "smaller" dealership so possibly larger ones are getting earlier allocations.
Did you say a couple of "years" ?
How is that possible? Did you give your money (interest free) years ago?

Yes, that is how wait lists work. You give a deposit to be on the list for a future allocation based on your number on the list.

On a separate note, my SA just texted me that the allocation seem to coming in sooner that expected. There are apparently more people on the Turbo list. The Macan 4 list is not be as long. I would like to read driving review but I am leaning towards the Turbo

I put my deposit down for Turbo on the reveal date. And I already have an allocation with the delivery date in September.

I'm from Poland and just got similar info from my dealer - production confirmed for July and delivery date September 10-15th.

Anyone in the UK has an actual confirmed order from Porsche after paying deposit?

When I enquired, my Porsche dealer in London only mentions this in his email:
You won’t see anything regarding the order till later in the year and once we get an allocation for your vehicle.

Wooohoo confirmed today I’m one of the few at my dealer in line for whenever they get their initial allocations from the mothership any week now I presume with the expected deliveries being September. I guess the smaller/regional dealers did not get initial order allocations right off the January unveiling.

My dealer is small and one of several in the immediate area. I was able to get their initial allocation for a 4. I think it is heavily dependent on the region and how much interest there is in an EV. In the Midwest where I’m from, not much interest. Which works in my favor.

Anecdotally, I asked my dealer in the south about interest. Zero. Same with Taycan and impeding 718 EV. Porsche finally figured out the allocation issue, just make cars no one wants to buy

Not the same in Europe. Porsche has no choice but to make EV’s for several regulatory reasons.
911’s faith is a direct consequence of Porsche’s ability to add more EVs in its lineup. Thanks to EVs, 911 is still alive as we know it!
In the end, Porsche EVs will be allocated and sold where there is a market ; which seems to be directly related to energy laws…
Here, we have laws&taxes that make us buy EVs (and many other things…) ; even though some disagree with that.

In the end, CO2e per person and year is 7.6 tons in Europe, 19 tons in the USA and 18.1 in Canada...

I’m still next in line for an allocation at my local Midwest dealer. Sigh patience is needed. Asked when allocations refresh and was told monthly. So that’s encouraging at least. I bet a summer wave opens up when they start getting dealer demos and press reviews out later this month even. So May June fingers crossed.

Got a message from my salesperson this weekend about a Macan 4 allocation coming up and whether I wanted it in case I don't want to wait. I am waiting for a Turbo allocation. #4 on the list. Apparently they only got one allocation for a Turbo so far and they are coming in slower than Macan 4s. At this rate, his estimate for my allocation was Q4 2024 :-(

Are folks getting a similar message, i.e. Macan 4s allocations are coming in sooner than Turbos?
