Macan EV: EV Markup/Discount

Mine did. Refundable until freeze date. This is SOP for them - I've done business with them before.
Question: On the order you put in, do you know that there is a commission number and that status in the system is V200? (I ask this coming from the GT car world where there are a lot of shenanigans.)

Do you think I should have concerns? The lack of deposit is concerning to me, although I know it doesn’t mean much until I sign the paperwork.

Yes. The build is also showing in TYD, albeit with errors (the shadow of the vehicle I can see is the one I’ve built). I have purchased from this dealer before, although nothing fancy (just an ICE Macan). It is an extremely small dealer.

I'm probably overtly cautious because the GT car game can be very unpleasant. It's common for dealer to put V070 orders in to the system which have no ties to an actual allocation. I'm conditioned by that world.

Same here. No deposit. I requested a Macan Turbo at MSRP and they sent me the build sheet the next day. It doesn't mention ADM so hope I don't walk into the dealership with an ADM attached to the sticker.

There should be zero chance of that. EV's are tough sells. I would expect discounts well below msrp once the initial hype wears off.

I'm sorry to say the dealer that sold me my 2019 Macan made it difficult for me to get out of some kind of theft protection service scam and a plastic coating over the hood in which I had no interest. It's a dirty business, perhaps more at the high end.

Thanks to C.J. Ichiban and our other supporting dealerships who are now selling them at MSRP — not playing games with us. I will be reaching out to you later if my local Porsche dealer gets greedy.

Any idea what rebates might be available for the Macan EV? Will the $7500 Fed Rebate apply?
Edit** nevermind, I think the MSRP is too high for those incentives.
I think the work around for the Taycan is to lease the car for the $7500 rebate.

Who knows. I know when the GT4RS was released in Canada for the first week it was about 160k and that quickly changed. Fast forward to today and it's 213k starting price.
They could briefly have more initial demand than expected in areas and adjusted prices in those markets, but I'd be really surprised since this thing is a EV and they gotta know initial demand may be ok, but it's probably not going to last and heavy discounts will be the norm eventually.
