Default Flat Six Autowerk in Need of Technician

Please excuse me if this isn't the appropriate place to have a posting like this (and if you know where the heck we can find a technician, let me know. Traditional job postings on sites like Indeed have not been fruitful so far...).

LOCATION: PITTSBURGH, PA

PAY: Up to $45/hour

Here's some info on the job. More than anything else, we're looking for somebody who actually knows these cars inside and out.

FLAT SIX AUTOWERK is one of the region's premier specialty auto shops, specializing in the maintenance and treatment of Porche and German automobiles. We are a tight-knit team of craftsmen and automobile aficionados looking for somebody who shares our passion for German automobiles to join our team.

Our clients have learned through the generations to expect the best from Flat Six Autowerk and that's exactly what we continue to offer. We offer the best independent service available in the region and pride ourselves on that title.

You should apply if:
  • You have experience as a Porsche mechanic/technician.
  • You have experience with air-cooled systems in Porsche automobiles.
  • You want to become the very best at your craft.
  • You are excited about the opportunity to work with specialty automobiles.
  • You are excited about the opportunity to work with people who share your interest and passion.
  • You are a team player who thinks the customer deserves the best.
  • You want to work with the very best equipment on the very best cars.
  • HUGE plus if you have experience with flat-six engines. IF you do not have experience with these Porsche engines, then we will look for having owned a vehicle.

You should NOT apply if:
  • You are not going to take the time to read this entire job posting.
  • You're just looking for a paycheck.
  • You are lazy.
  • You don't have experience as a Porsche mechanic/technician.
  • You don't know how to navigate an air-cooled system.
  • You are hot-headed or arrogant.
  • You think the customer expects just "good enough" and not "the best."
  • You don't want to become one of the very best at your craft.
  • You want to work at a major chain and NOT an independent craft auto shop.

ABOUT US

Flat Six Autowerk was founded and operated by John Raysich, Sr. and became a staple location for Porsche and German automobile owners across the Appalachian and mid-Atlantic regions. John Sr. passed in 2013 but not until he built a reputation that outlived him as a legacy. "A fantastic individual and amazing with Porsches," is one way he had been described and exactly the philosophy we live out to this day. Under our new management, our goal is to build one of the very best places to work and the very best place to bring one's Porsche in the region.

Our team is tightly knit and lives for our craft and serving our customers. You could get a job maintaining fantastic automobiles anywhere -- but you can craft your life working with us. We expect the best from ourselves and our colleagues and are ever vigilant for that one person who shares this philosophy with us.

Zak, Tried sending you a PM here but it says you can't receive them.

What would be the best way to get in contact with you?

Hey Ron,

Sorry about that! I didn't realize that was the case.

Shoot me an email at zslayback [at] gmail [dot] com.
