So how's everyone doing in the "Here We Find Mainly Republicans" forum?

Personally, I am pretty grouchy right now. I have watched Rennlist get very nasty, childish, narrow minded and filled with personal attacks - and not just about politics. These attitudes have pervaded racing discussions (Esp F1 threads), technical discussions and, of course, political discussions.

Now if we can be respectful adults here, then let's talk politics. But any hint of personal attack (and this is not directed at you Larry, it is directed at possible responses) - whether that is directed at individual participants or their candidates (winners or losers) and vacations from Rennlist will be forthcoming.

With that, let's talk politics all we want here.

Actually I'm an Independent.

However, as a student of history, I'm now reminded of Jimmy Carter. I wonder if we will see again the disappearance of those who originally supported our President Elect when he does his epic fail? Remember trying to find anyone who would admit to having supported Carter when he was run out of office?

Thankful to John and Randy for imposing some forced civility in OT. Never been a problem here.

Hopefully everyone can get back to discussing truly meaningless topics.

I have always stayed away from all the lunacy in OT and kept my very correct political views to myself around here. I will continue to do so.

Me too. That said, bigs, who is imho a guy who almost always brings reason to discussions in OT posted the following.

And I truly hope that the historic nature of this election extends far beyond this election night. Now the really hard work begins. And, as an American, I truly hope that the next administration is very successful. A successful outcome is far more important than whoever achieves it.

Don't fumble!
I could not agree more. And that's all the politics you'll get out of me.

It is what it is. Our democratic republic has worked w/o bloodshed yet again, per the wishes of the people as represented by the Electoral College.

That said, I weep for my country today & tonight. I think this man Obama is bad, bad news in so many ways.

I hope I am wrong, but experience tells me I am likely not.

Thanks Rick

Cars and Beer. And Humor.

And as Mark implied, the time out chair may become a bleacher section if the bull**** on Rennlist doesn't stop. We've been fortunate that it hasn't pervaded this forum the way it has others.

I'm in mourning. Not because Obama won, but because the media successfully hijacked a Presidential election. We can debate policy, but one thing is for sure, without a good, suspicious media, who'll keep the government in line?

This is why I am very worried about the future of our country.

And then there's the perfect HWFMR team member. She's not fast, but who cares really?
