***If it hits Pensacola I'll be screwed for sure. I'm only about 25 miles east of there. I saw that same model projection over on Crown. I'm hoping it'll make landfall in Mexico. Hehe. Shame on me.

Wait . . . on second glance, that one line is actually hitting a good fifty miles EAST of Pensacola. Note that there are little dots on the graphic that indicate the actual locations. Dammit! Navarre is right around the corner from that line. The big thing to watch for is how the weather around the hurricane path acts. As long as the high pressure system keeps up, the hurricane path should keep moving west. Hopefully a LOT west so that Navarre (where I live) doesn't get hit again. Go Mexico! Lol.

Well, what a difference 12 hours makes on the forecasting models. Now instead of a dozen different possible paths that had it striking anywhere between Brazil and Boston, they have one single projected path heading south of Corpus Christi, TX. Given that it hasn't even cleared Cuba yet, I don't see how they can be so confident of it's path.

That's the way all hurricanes are . . . we never know where the heck they will actually go. All the weather people can do is make an educated guess. If I believed every one of the past projections, I'd have sold the house and moved up to Vermont by now. Lol.

Educated guesses? You give them way too much credit.
