I'm mostly a martini maker, & not so much other mixed drinks. My fave martini:

Chill the martini glasses with crushed ice

Mix in a shaker:
Six parts Tanqueray Ten
One part Boscoli olive juice
Dash or two of bitters
Crushed ice

Shake, don't stir -- of course

Empty the ice out of the glasses
Pour a teaspoon of vermouth in each glass, swirl around, & then dump out the vermouth

Strain the gin etc into the martini glasses, allowing little bits of ice to make it past the strainer.

Serve with a jalepeno stuffed olive or two.

Repeat as necessary

What the heck is bitters??? You've got everything you need. Martini Mike has made me several using hotel room plastic cups at the Manure Hole. Can't believe I just said that.....

Haha!

Not to worry, you just have to keep a close eye on him, otherwise he'll slip you a Mikey.

There's a reason he was known as the Ether bunny in college.

You don't really need angastora bitters to make the martini -- but they do add a bit of bite at the back of the palate. Bitters smell kinda like a mixture of cloves and nutmeg. Very pleasant aroma.

As far as yummy drinks . . . may I recommend a slippery nipple for the gents, and a *** shot for the ladies? And if you order a screaming orgasm, I suggest you take it on the floor -- as that's where you'll eventually wind up anyway.

Bitters are a nice touch, but you can do without, same with martini glasses. Come to think of it, basically all you need is a bottle of gin & some olives.

As far as slipping someone a Mikey, those are reserved strictly for those of the female persuasion. And usually once they get a look at me, they politely decline.

I cannot believe I am sitting here on New Year's Day and VR has STILL not jumped on my drink recommendations. He MUST be hung-over big time.
