Does it still look stock on the inside, i.e. the engine cover carpet hasn't been raised/replaced? How has the intake sound changed assuming the aftermarket exhaust isn't making that too difficult to determine? What about changes to NVH because of the lightweight flywheel? And I thought Porsche specifically warned against the significantly accelerated driveline wear that can occur from using an LWFW on this car. Were steps taken to mitigate that, or are those rumors greatly exaggerated?

No issues with a light weight flywheel at all.

Hey Guys,
Below is the dyno comparison between our 4.0L X51 GT4 and a Factory stock 2016 GT3RS.
The left side of the sheet is TQ delivered to the wheels and the right side is the HP delivered to the wheels.
On the sheet you will see a GREEN line and a RED line, the GREEN is the 2016 GT3RS and the RED is the 2016 GT4 4.0L X51.
You all can make your own conclusions on the comparison as it speaks for itself. I would say we have built a solid competitor for the RS!
Much more TQ and HP available across the range and only in the UPPER rpm range does the RS have a bit more. Given that a GT4 with this mod can be had for less than HALF the price of an RS I would go this way everytime!

There is also a little more of a mechanical whir in the cabin cruising which is somehow flywheel/tranny related since it goes away with the clutch in. It's not loud, the frequency isn't annoying, and I've mostly forgotten about it but I remember noticing it immediately when I got in the car the first time.
Fwiw, it's hard to tell how much of a difference the flywheel makes since it was installed with everything else. Manual blips are zippier, pedal engages higher, maybe a little lighter, fast shifting is smoother since the revs drop faster but slow/lazy shifting.... well, shift faster.
The new clutch is pretty aggressive though, still getting used to that, especially on hills or when trying to back into my shoebox of a parking spot in NYC. Will give both driver and clutch some more miles before making up my mind....

We've been racing and tracking our 4.0L conversions for 2 years now and have not had a single failure. Lots of hard race miles with no smoke, oil consumption or issues. The X51 Kit does not change the reliability of the engine in any way and these have been Rock Solid Porsche motors all along.

well I know what I'm doing now if my .2 allocation falls through.

Do you think this would jeopardize my CPO?
