Probably dealer time. You can check the connectors and the ride height sensors. Good luck please update when you get it resolved . Carl

In my experience, Sport Mode does not affect suspension but only "auto blipper" and opening up the third radiator.

Yes I got this fault and it plagued me for 3 days of a 6 day event. I could turn the car off and on and it would clear until I got the car into some high speed turns and it's back.
What it was in my case when the rear cage was installed a small black sensor was not bolted back in place to the top of the rear passenger or in your case driver side shock tower. So every time I got into it it was flipping around thinking I was doing somersaults.
Maybe that sensor could be loose

I had this come up on a 991 GT3 at the track.

There was a connector that came un-done near one of the rear lower control arms.

Check all your plugs.

Are you sure, Sport mode is only the auto blip and has nothing to do with PASM as far as I am aware.

PASM faults will usually stop Sports Plus from functioning properly, or in the case of the GT4, Sport functions. It's probably a ride height sensor (lower control arm) or one of the PASM sensors or a wire going to either.

I just got this same message "SUSPENSION SYSTEM FAULT.. ADAPTIVE DRIVING PERMITTED" yesterday on my 2015 991.1 C4S after driving about eight miles in 85 degree Florida weather... PASM console button seems to work, however, SPORT button will not... message disappeared after restart before I parked it in the garage for the night... today, it came back on after driving about 5 miles, message went away after a few seconds, however, now there's an "shock absorber" icon, next to the clock time. It's still under warranty, so it'll be going to the Porsche service center for resolution. Car has a little over 2000 miles on the odometer.

Porsche service center diagnosed the issue to a failed front strut. Questions: (1) should both front struts be replaced? and (2) after replacement should a wheel alignment be performed ?
