Default Still have the squeaky clutch pedal . Who's living with it?

I know there are other posts about it. It started out about 1500 miles now it has 3200 isn't getting worse and you only hear it when it's warm. Definitely coming from the release fork . Tempted to just live with it unless the trans goes but I'm not anxious to have the transmission torn out of the car . Has anyone else just lived with it ? My gut is its the pivot on the fork .when it gets hot it expands and makes the noise . No noise when cold ? Carl

I think there are four possible scenarios:
1) Just keeps making the noise
2) Actually gets better because it wears in. (had that happen with other noises)
3)Something seizes but i feel it would get worse first
4)Third gear goes and i have it all replaced under warranty with the trans.
There reason im hesitant to have it taken apart is its been my experience that the less things you have a dealer tear apart the better. Sometimes the cure is worse than the problem.

Too bad you can't lubricate the pivot with dry film lube

Someone on here lubricated theirs through a viewing port with success.

Have it but haven't made any time to take it to the dealer. It doesn't seem to be getting worse.....

Its not the pedal assembly its coming from the clutch. Totally quiet cold hot it squeaks when the pedal is fully depressed.

Nope, your first one is still running strong without this issue at 9500 miles.

Strangely, I had this problem but it has since disappeared. Same symptoms as you guys ... Creaking that starts and becomes noticeable when the car is warmed up.

It stared around 700 miles. I now have ~1,600 and all is fine. No noise. No idea how it cured itself ... maybe it broke in after multiple heat cycles? I just hope it doesn't return.

Funny, thats why im waiting, it isnt getting worse. Im hoping if the release fork pivot is tight and with heat it expands and squeaks that it may ware away a little and go away. Time will tell, no downside waiting . carl

I have just under 10k miles now, noticed it around 7k miles and it drove me crazy initially. After adding headers, the squeak is less noticeable

Quick Reply: Still have the squeaky clutch pedal . Who's living with it?
