Hello Carl,
Thank you for sharing your experience, and for providing the photo and info on the metal clip. The next time we make a GT4 installation videos we will make reference to the metal clip.
On the installations that we have done, including our own GT4, we left the metal clip as is and installed the DSC module on top of the metal clip. This way, for those who prefer to swap the stock module back in for comparison or for other reasons, the swapping process is made easier and quicker. The M6 fastener is more than sufficient in securing the module.
Our praise to you for the successful effort to make the metal clip fit.
