Default 1st Track Day Tomorrow

Car is 100% stock with Michelin PS Cup2 tires. What is recommended pressures for track ?
Track inspection form indicates 5psi above owners manual numbers, does that sound reasonable ?

First track day for you, or for the car, or both? My experience and that of most others is that the Pilot Sport Cup 2s like to be around 31-32 psi front, 33-34 psi rear HOT (measured with a good-quality gauge right after coming off the track). Start the day with cold pressures around 27-28 front, 29-30 rear and bleed off pressure as necessary during the day. Have fun.

+1, If you use Circuit Mode on the TPMS, set the tires @ 26 Cold and check pressures immediately after the first session.

32/33 front, 33/34 rear, all pressures hot, whatever that means to cold (mine were down to 22-24 cold, avoid curbs, get heat into the tire by using the brakes).

Please post that track inspection form, from who it is and for which track. I've as yet to see an inspection form requiring any kind of pressure setting for a track event.

If it is also your first track day you likely wont be pushing that hard... I would recommend starting at 28-29.

Bleed of after each session to 32 immediately after getting of track.

If during a session it gets over 36 pit and bleed them of in the hot pit to 32

same thread on GT3 forum

https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...the-track.html

easiest to start cold pressure above 26 in the "circuit mode" of TPMS goes wacky

I do as above...get to 30-32 hot...if above go to "hot pit" (not back to paddock) and bleed down to 28-30 and quickly get back on track...trial and error for your car, alignment, weather, age of tires, etc..

Is this for track or auto-x? Some auto-x orgs recommend the extra pressure since most street cars don't have a good auto-x alignment and heat is a non-issue for short runs....

Where do you keep the tire gauge for bleeding? Or do you use the TPMS read-out to determine when you've bled out the proper amount?
